Rakhimov Rassul

He was born on 29 August, 1978 in Ust-Kamenogorsk. He is married and has two children.

He graduated from D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan State Technical University in 2000, East Kazakhstan State University in 2002, Brandenburg Technical University in 2004, University of Oxford in 2006.

He started his career in 2000 at "Ulba Metallurgical Plant", JSC as a specialist of the 4th category of beryllium production. Subsequently, he worked in this organization as an engineer of the beryllium production technology department, then as a marketing manager of beryllium production.

Since November 2006 - Director of the Center for Strategic Development and Innovation of D.Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University.

Since May 2007 - Advisor to the Department of Strategic Planning and Summary Analysis - Secretariat of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Since September 2007 - Head of the Industrial Policy Coordination Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Since March 2008 - Consultant of the Center for Strategic Research and Analysis of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Since September 2009 - Managing Director of JSC "National Innovation Fund".

Since September 2012 - Head of the Department of Sustainable Development of UNDP (United Nations Development Program), programme analyst and portfolio manager.

Since January 2018 - Head of the Competitiveness Analysis Sector of the Center for Strategic Research and Analysis of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Since August 2018 - Deputy Head of the Strategic Planning Department, then Deputy Head of the Socio-Economic Monitoring Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Since October 2021 - Member of the Accounts Committee for Control over Execution of the Republican Budget.

By the Decision of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 1, 2022 No.376-VII SP he was appointed as a Member of the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Awarded with Gratitude of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2020) and Gratitude of the Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2020), UNDP «Outstanding Achievement Award» (2017).
