medium-sized businesses, employment of the population, the fight against poverty, crime and others were successfully implemented.

During the period of work in the free and then special economic zones, it was possible to achieve financial stability in the city's economy.

A significant event for the townspeople was the opening of the distance learning branch of the Rudny Industrial Institute in the city.
