The Prosecutor's Office of the East Kazakhstan region systematically works to protect the rights of socially vulnerable categories of the population, including ensuring the availability of socially significant services for people with disabilities.
Further measures to restore the violated rights of citizens have been taken in the Ulan district.
It is established that 1,049 people with disabilities live in the district. At the same time, invataxi services were provided by only one specialized car, which was regularly used by only 7 people.
At the same time, according to the analysis conducted by the prosecutor's office, 62 residents of the district who were not covered by this measure of social support actually needed invataxi services.
In addition, the prosecutor's office found violations of the order of transportation, as well as insufficient awareness of the public about the possibility of obtaining these services.
As a result of the supervisory measures taken, 2 specialized vehicles were additionally allocated, the invataxi operating mode was revised, lists of citizens in need were updated, and information and explanatory work with the district's population on existing state support measures for people with disabilities was strengthened.
The guilty officials have been brought to disciplinary responsibility.
