The progress made in completing the main landscaping works at Triathlon Park was reviewed, and further plans for the development of the waterfront area were discussed.
Over the past five years, four major projects with a total investment of 4.8 billion tenge have been implemented across the park's 39-hectare territory. As a result, modern infrastructure has been established to provide residents with opportunities for recreation and sports activities.
The development of Triathlon Park is also contributing to the growth of neighbouring areas. Interest from businesses is increasing, and new facilities are emerging. In particular, construction is underway on the Invictus Go sports club and the Holiday Inn hotel nearby. Plans are also in place to build a modern padel centre featuring six courts.
Further development of the waterfront and improvement of the urban environment were also discussed. One of the priorities is to explore the possibility of extending the embankment towards the KZhBI and KSK districts.
In addition, the development of a project for a modern public space with a park area in the Krasny Kuznets district will begin this year. The project will include landscaping and the creation of comfortable conditions for both public events and residents' everyday recreation.
Particular attention was also paid to the condition of the embankment on the left bank near the central bridge. A technical inspection of the site has been carried out on the instruction of the city akim, and cost-estimate documentation is currently being prepared. The relevant funding is to be allocated next year, with restoration works scheduled to begin thereafter.
The main objective is not only to create new public spaces but also to ensure the proper maintenance and preservation of existing infrastructure.
