The National Testing Center and the Department of Education of the Almaty region signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at developing a system for analyzing educational outcomes and effectively using Unified National Testing (UNT) data in making managerial decisions.
This initiative corresponds to the tasks outlined by the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the republican August conference of teachers. The President stressed the need to reduce the gap in the quality of education between urban and rural schools, strengthen work in regions with low UNT scores, conduct a comprehensive analysis of the current situation and develop integrated solutions based on it.
The main purpose of the memorandum is to conduct a systematic analysis of the UNT results in order to identify priority areas of work to improve the quality of education, identify trends and differences in the performance of educational organizations.
The head of the Department of Education of the Almaty region, Kairat Zhumanov, noted the importance of cooperation for developing specific management decisions.
"I am confident that cooperation with the National Testing Center will improve the effectiveness of analytical work, obtain objective data in a timely manner, identify problematic areas and make specific management decisions aimed at improving UNT results," said the head of the department.
At the initial stage, the parties plan to conduct a preliminary analysis of the UNT results, consider the main trends in the context of the region, districts and cities, as well as identify issues that require more detailed study.
Based on the results of the analysis, preliminary analytical conclusions will be formed and priority areas for further joint work will be identified. It also provides for the possibility of in-depth analysis of educational outcomes in the context of districts, cities, schools and academic subjects.
The results obtained will become the basis for determining the priorities for further work of the Department of Education with educational organizations. The cooperation also provides for cooperation with district and city education departments, methodological services and other interested organizations.
The cooperation is aimed at developing a systematic approach to the analysis of educational outcomes, effective use of UNT data to assess the state of education quality in the region and identify further areas for its improvement.
