Tasks outlined in the Message: discussed issues of improving the quality of education

A meeting of members of the republican information and explanatory group with education workers took place at the secondary school-gymnasium in Konayev as part of an explanation of the Message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev "Actual tasks of Kazakhstan at a new historical stage".

The meeting was opened by the head of the Department of Education of the Almaty region, Kairat Zhumanov. He noted that today's event is dedicated to explaining the main directions of the President's Address to the people of Kazakhstan, as well as discussing the results of the first session of the People's Council of Kazakhstan.

In his speech, Kairat Zhumanov stressed that the Message pays special attention to improving the quality of education, developing school infrastructure, improving inclusive education and creating favorable conditions for the professional activities of teachers. He also noted that specific tasks have been outlined to reduce excessive workload for teachers, reduce paperwork, protect the authority and status of teachers, as well as introduce modern technologies into the education system. The importance of teachers' work in providing high-quality education and educating a conscious generation is emphasized.

The first speaker was Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the VIII convocation, member of the Committee on Socio-Cultural Development Lyazzat Zhylkybayeva. She focused on the main directions of the President's Address, including the challenges facing the education sector.

"In his next Message, the Head of State emphasized the issue of raising the status of teachers. This is the task of the whole society. The second issue is to reduce the burden on teachers. Today, the increase in the number of digital platforms in the field of education has led to an increase in workload. Therefore, it is necessary to re-examine some issues. Today, we have placed the responsibility for the education of children with special needs solely on schools. This is wrong. Children in need of special education should also be supported by health and social protection institutions. In addition, it is necessary to pay special attention to the personal data of teachers," Lyazzat Aueskhanovna noted.

Then the floor was given to Nurtore Zhusip, a member of the People's Council of Kazakhstan, a public figure, a well-known journalist, and an academician of the Kazakhstan Academy of Journalism.

"The Head of State has always paid special attention to the field of education. Of course, digital technologies and artificial intelligence are becoming increasingly important in education today. However, there may be drawbacks to this trend. After all, if the current younger generation overly relies on artificial intelligence, it may lose the ability to think critically and make decisions on its own. Therefore, teachers should educate a generation that is true to their ideals and serves the country. The President has repeatedly stressed in previous Messages that the upbringing of the younger generation is important for the future of the country. After all, there is no wealth more valuable than human capital," said Nurtore Baytilesovich.

In turn, Vice Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Asset Turysov noted that the Message pays special attention to initiatives that can give impetus to the development of the country's economy, financial market regulation, as well as coordination of investment attraction issues. He also focused on the People's Construction initiative, which provides for the modernization of social infrastructure, including the construction of new schools and kindergartens, which will reduce the number of three-shift schools and improve the quality of education.

During the meeting, representatives of the teaching community asked the members of the information and explanatory group questions regarding inclusive education and the overhaul of schools, and exchanged views.
