The rights of children with special educational needs have been restored in East Kazakhstan Region

    Inspection of the Ulken Naryn District Prosecutor's Office Violations in the organization of homeschooling for children with special educational needs have been identified in East Kazakhstan region.

    It was found that the children studied for 8 hours a week instead of the stipulated 19 hours. There were no compulsory subjects in the individual curricula, the recommendations of the psychological, medical and pedagogical consultation were not followed, and teachers who did not have the appropriate special training were involved in conducting classes.

    In addition, it was found that teachers were illegally charged salaries for virtually non-completed classes.

    According to the results of the measures taken by the prosecutor's office, the rights of 4 children to receive quality education have been restored. 4 school principals were brought to disciplinary responsibility, 8 teachers returned unjustifiably received funds to the budget.

    Efforts to protect the rights of minors and ensure affordable and high-quality education continue.
