The Specialized Environmental Prosecutor's Office of the East Kazakhstan region is working to ensure the rule of law in the field of environmental protection.
The analysis revealed the prolonged inactivity of Vostoktsvetmet LLP to eliminate the consequences of subsurface use at the Yubileyno-Snegirikhinskoye field in the Glubokoe district.
According to the act of the prosecutor's supervision, the Department of Ecology of the East Kazakhstan Region conducted an unscheduled inspection of the enterprise. According to the results, the LLP was brought to administrative responsibility under Part 1 of Article 328 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Exceeding technological standards for environmental emissions) with a fine of more than 100 million tenge.
The company has also been issued an order to eliminate the consequences of subsurface use and ensure systematic control over the implementation of environmental protection measures.
Compliance with environmental legislation is under constant control of the Prosecutor's Office.
