As part of the republican chess tournament among primary school teachers 'Ziyatker Ustaz', the final stage of which took place on October 29, 2026 in Astana, East Kazakhstan Region was represented by 5 teachers.
The participants represent general education organizations of the region where they teach the subject 'Fundamentals of Chess'. The teachers completed professional development courses under the 'Chess in Education' program organized by the Kazakhstan Chess Federation and took part in the republican stage of the competition, demonstrating their chess skills and professional interest in the development of chess education.
Based on the results of the republican tournament, a representative of East Kazakhstan Region Toleuova Kuralay Muratkhanovna, representing KSU 'Kurchum Secondary School No. 4 named after N. Ostrovsky', was recognized as the best teacher of East Kazakhstan Region. For her achievement, she was awarded a cash prize of 50,000 (fifty thousand) tenge.
