Today, a ceremonial raising of the State Flag was held at the State Symbols Square in celebration of Republic Day, marked on October 25. The event dedicated to this national holiday was attended by District Akim Zhandos Erkinbek, local residents, employees of government departments and institutions, veterans, and young people.
During the ceremony, the State Flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan was raised, and the National Anthem was performed.
At the celebration, District Akim Zhandos Erkinbek congratulated those gathered on this significant occasion and stated:
“Thirty-five years ago, on December 16, 1991, our country declared its independence and embarked on a new historical chapter. This path to sovereignty laid the foundation for a new era in Kazakhstan’s history, transforming our country into an independent and powerful state united by a strong sense of solidarity.
The State Flag is a symbol of our independence and sovereignty. Today’s flag-raising ceremony demonstrates our love for and respect for our Motherland. May our sky-blue flag always wave proudly above our land, and may our independence continue to grow stronger!
On this special holiday, I wish happiness and prosperity to every family! May our country remain peaceful and our people live in tranquillity,” he said.
As part of the meaningful event, citizens who had been appointed to public service took an oath of allegiance, pledging to serve their country faithfully.
The ceremony continued with a concert programme featuring local performers. Their patriotic songs filled the gathering with joy and a festive spirit.
Republic Day is a special occasion that celebrates our independence, honours the unity of our people, and upholds our shared national values. May our country remain peaceful and prosperous, our independence stand firm, and the sky-blue flag of Kazakhstan wave proudly over our homeland forever!
