Today, the regional competition named after Sultan Sarmoldin, “National Art — A Herald of Integrity,” was held at the District House of Culture with the participation of Deputy Akim of the district D. Moldabayev. The competition brought together cultural centres and clubs from across the region.
The event was dedicated to honouring the legacy of Sultan Serdalyuly Sarmoldin, a veteran of the cultural sector who made an invaluable contribution to the development of culture and the arts in the Syr region and whose name remains in the memory of the people.
Sultan Sarmoldin worked in the district’s cultural sector for many years, making a significant contribution to the establishment of the people’s theatre, the development of artistic groups, the promotion of national art and the recognition of young talent. His life and career serve as a shining example of devoted service to his homeland.
At the opening ceremony, Deputy Akim of the district D. Asylbekuly highlighted the importance of national art in preserving spiritual values:
“Today’s competition, ‘National Art — A Herald of Integrity,’ is of particular significance. National art is the spiritual treasure of our people, shaped over centuries; a reflection of our national identity and a golden bridge connecting generations. Preserving it, developing it and passing it on to future generations is a shared responsibility for all of us,” he said.
Creative groups from various districts of the region took part in the competition, showcasing their artistic skills, professional expertise and creative potential. At the conclusion of the event, the outstanding participants were selected and presented with awards.
