The dignity and prosperity of a nation that honors its elders are always held in high regard. Representatives of the older generation who have devoted their lives to serving the country, raising a conscious and responsible generation, and contributing to the development and prosperity of their native land have always held an honored place in society. In this regard, a series of festive events entitled **“Our Elders – Our Priceless Treasure”** was organized to mark the International Day of Older Persons.
The meaningful gathering was held at the district’s **“Rukhaniyat” Center**, while today the celebrations continued in the city of Baikonur.
During the festive event, Deputy Akim of the district **Dias Moldabayev** congratulated the veterans on the occasion and emphasized the significant contribution of the older generation to the development of the district.
“Your life experience and wisdom are of great value to us. We know and deeply appreciate the contribution each of you has made to the development and prosperity of our sacred land,” said Dias Asylbekuly.
The Deputy Akim noted that the peaceful life we enjoy today and the achievements of our country are the result of the dedication, hard work and efforts of the older generation. He also emphasized the importance of providing social support and care for elderly people.
Today, there are **5,590 pensioners** living in the sacred land of Karmakshy. More than **5,300 of them are members of the Veterans’ Organization**. Elderly residents are provided with social, household, financial and other necessary assistance, while their well-being remains under constant attention, especially during holidays and special occasions.
During the festive event, veterans were presented with special **Letters of Appreciation from the Akim of the district** and honored with words of respect and gratitude. Local artists presented musical and poetic performances, creating a warm and festive atmosphere for the guests.
“The peaceful life we enjoy today is the result of your dedication, hard work and efforts. On this special occasion, I wish happiness, prosperity and well-being to all your families and future generations. May every day of your lives be filled with joy and happiness!” said Dias Asylbekuly.
