An operational meeting was held in the Department of the Penitentiary Service for the Abai region on the results of operational activities for 9 months of 2026, as well as the state of discipline, legality and personnel work.
The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Department, Colonel of Justice Nurbek Kabdikarimov. The event was attended by the leadership of the DUIS, heads of structural divisions and subordinate institutions.
During the meeting, the main results of operational activities during the reporting period were reviewed. Special attention is paid to the issues of law enforcement, strengthening official discipline, ensuring the rights and legitimate interests of convicts, as well as the prevention of corruption offenses.
Special attention is paid to working with personnel and staffing. The issues of recruiting vacant positions, selecting candidates for service, improving the professional level of employees and the effectiveness of educational work with personnel were considered.
The heads of institutions No. 19, 20, 21 and 23 of the Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan made reports on the work done. The heads of the institutions outlined the main results of their activities, as well as problematic issues that require additional attention.
During the discussion, a fundamental assessment of the identified shortcomings was given. The heads of institutions were informed of the need to take timely measures to eliminate them and strengthen control over compliance with legal requirements.
The requirements and instructions developed following the results of the expanded meeting of the board of law enforcement agencies have been brought to the attention of the personnel. The main focus is on improving the efficiency of operational activities, strengthening discipline and personal responsibility of managers.
Summing up the meeting, Colonel of Justice Nurbek Kabdikarimov, Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Abai region, noted the importance of consistent implementation of modern approaches in the activities of the penal system.
- Today we have specific tasks ahead of us — to ensure the stable operation of institutions, strengthen the rule of law and official discipline, and improve the professionalism of employees. Of particular importance is the introduction of modern digital solutions that make work processes more efficient and transparent. At the same time, the main priority remains the observance of human rights, safety and the creation of conditions for the correction and social adaptation of convicts," said the head of the Department. Nurbek Kabdikarimov.
Following the meeting, priority areas of work for the coming period were identified and specific tasks were set for the heads of structural divisions and subordinate institutions.
