Biography
Beibut Shakhanov was born in 1979. Graduated from the Kazakh State University of International Relations and World Languages named after Abylai Khan; Kazakh State Law University; Kazakh Commercial and Financial Academy; Lancaster University (Great Britain).
He began his career in 2002 as a leading specialist in the Department of Control over Compliance with Antimonopoly Legislation of the Agency for Regulation of Natural Monopolies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Over the years, he held senior positions in the structural divisions of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education and Science, and the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
From 2015 to 2022, he worked in the Committee for Construction, Housing and Communal Services and Land Management of the Ministry of National Economy, the Ministry of Investment and Development, the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He worked as the head of the construction department of the city of Almaty.
From May 2023 to his current appointment, he worked as the head of the city akim's office Almaty.
