Satybaldy Darkhan Amangeldiuly

He was born on March 26, 1974 in the South Kazakhstan region. He is a graduate of the Akmola Agricultural Institute. Saken Seifullina (1996) and the Kazakh University of Humanities and Law (2003).

By profession, he is an economist-manager, lawyer. Candidate of Economic Sciences.

1996–2000 – Accountant and Economist in commercial organizations.

2000–2002 – Senior and Chief Controller-Auditor at the Department for Budget Procedure Control, Ministry of Finance.

2002–2006 – Referent, Consultant, Chief Expert, and Head of Sector at the Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2006–2007 – Director of the Municipal State Enterprise "Zhylu" under the Akimat of Astana City.

2007–2010 – Deputy Director of the Budget Department, Deputy Director of the Financial Department, and Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Science under the Ministry of Education and Science.

2010–2011 – Head of Department at the National Security Committee.

2011–2013 – Deputy Head of the Socio-Economic Department of the Prime Minister’s Office.

2013–2015 – Akim (Mayor) of Shymkent City.

2015–2017 – First Deputy Akim of the South Kazakhstan Region.

2018–2019 – Member of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2019–2022 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

2022–2025 – Akim of Turkistan Region.

January – May 2025 – First Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Since May 2025 – Akim (Mayor) of Almaty City.
