As part of the supervisory activities, the Prosecutor General's Office revealed the fact of extortion of funds in institution No. 22 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a criminal case on which was accepted for trial by special prosecutors.
The pre-trial investigation established that in the period from July to November 2025, convicts J. and K., under threat of physical violence, extorted money from the newly arrived convict M. for providing so-called "patronage."
Special prosecutors have collected a sufficient body of evidence confirming the involvement of the perpetrators in the commission of the crime, and the criminal case has been sent to court.
By the verdict of the Glubokovsky District Court of July 29, 2026, the defendants were found guilty of committing a criminal offense under part 3 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code and sentenced to imprisonment with an increase in the term of punishment.
The verdict has not entered into legal force.
