"Combating Corruption": on the importance and necessity of universal promotion of an anti-corruption culture in society

Corruption is a destructive phenomenon that undermines economic stability and reduces citizens' trust in state institutions. Countering this phenomenon has been elevated to the rank of key priorities of the state policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In accordance with the Law of the RK "On Countering Corruption", the main emphasis shifts from eliminating the consequences to deep prevention. The central place in this strategy is occupied by the large-scale eradication of corruption manifestations and the universal proclamation of the principles of integrity, honesty, and openness. The Law clearly defines that countering offenses is the duty of every citizen, and not only of regulatory and law enforcement agencies.

The Department of State Revenues for the Zhetysu Region, fulfilling the tasks of ensuring economic security, firmly adheres to the principles of transparency and purity of its own ranks. Automation of tax and customs services, minimization of direct contact with service recipients, and elimination of administrative barriers are practical steps implemented by the department to exclude risks.

    Main areas of work:

·The principle of "zero tolerance":Formation of a steady awareness of the unacceptability of any shadow schemes at all levels.

·Transparency and openness:Digitalization of interaction between the state and business, completely eliminating the human factor.

·Legal awareness:Citizens' understanding that strict compliance with laws and execution of tax obligations is a direct contribution to the well-being of the Zhetysu region.

The fight against corruption cannot be effective without the active participation of civil society, entrepreneurs, and every resident of the region. Our common task is to make honesty and legality the main standard of daily behavior. Only by joining forces will we be able to build a Just Kazakhstan, where law and order come first.
