Chairperson of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan Elvira Azimova held a meeting with the Chief Justice of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) Court, Lord Ian Burnett of Maldon.
Cooperation between the two judicial institutions is based on an existing Memorandum of Understanding and includes the exchange of experience and the implementation of initiatives aimed at enhancing professional competencies.
Elvira Azimova outlined the key provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which entered into force on 1 July 2026, as well as the updated powers of the Constitutional Court.
The Chief Justice of the AIFC Court expressed his gratitude to the Constitutional Court for its support of the 9th AIFC Court Moot Competition. This year, 14 teams from universities in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, China, Türkiye and Italy participated in the competition.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed their readiness to continue professional cooperation.
