Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev delivered an Address to the people of Kazakhstan entitled “Current Priorities of Kazakhstan in a New Historical Cycle,” outlining the key areas of the country’s socio-economic development, domestic and foreign policy, as well as clear guidelines for the future. Residents of our region welcomed the President’s Address with great interest.

The President noted that all historic transformations taking place in the life of the country are unfolding before the eyes of the people.

The Head of State proposed declaring the coming year the Year of Nationwide Large-Scale Construction. He emphasized that citizens must have access to comprehensive social infrastructure and that Kazakhstan should become a vast construction site. Large-scale construction projects need to be launched and accelerated across all regions of the country. The President particularly stressed that the Constitution identifies improving the well-being of the people as a strategic priority of the state. All these initiatives are being implemented for the benefit of the country, above all, for the well-being of the younger generation.

The President also highlighted several important priorities: creating a unified logistics network connecting all regions of Kazakhstan; integrating the country into global production chains by building up reserves of rare and non-ferrous metals; introducing artificial intelligence technologies into agriculture; strengthening the system for attracting investors and providing comprehensive support for their activities; adopting a new Civil Code; and increasing the minimum wage from 85,000 to 110,000 tenge.

“Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich particularly noted that several airports are being constructed simultaneously across the country, and that restoration work at the airport in Arkalyk has been completed. Kostanay Region is one of the country’s dynamically developing regions. I am confident that the tasks set by the President will give fresh impetus to the development of both our country and our region. We will continue our consistent efforts in this direction,” said Kumаr Aksakalov, Akim of Kostanay Region.
