Kostanay Region Akim Kumar Aksakalov took part in the opening ceremony of a flagpole dedicated to Kazakhstan’s state symbols in Kostanay on Republic Day. The ceremonial event was attended by residents and visitors to the city.
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted: “Sovereignty and Independence are our most precious heritage and our greatest values.”
Over the years of independence, Kazakhstan has strengthened its state borders, modernized its economy, and reinforced its position in the international community.
The new Constitution adopted this year places priority on sovereignty and territorial integrity, human rights, the rule of law, and national unity. The ultimate goal of these changes is to build a just society and create conditions that enable every citizen to realize their potential.
“The State Flag is a symbol of our unity, solidarity, and shared responsibility. Preserving harmony, respecting the law, working conscientiously, and passing national values on to the younger generation are the key guarantees of strengthening our sovereignty.
May independent Kazakhstan continue to prosper!” the regional akim said in his congratulatory address.
