In the minimum security institution of the penal correction system in the Abai region, a convict serving a sentence for fraud initiated a charity event "Lunch with care" aimed at supporting large and low-income families.

    - I work as a cook and decided that I can help people with my skills. During a conversation with the staff of the institution, he told about his idea to hold such actions. Thank you to the administration for supporting me and helping me organize everything. When you see the joy of the children and the words of gratitude from the parents, you realize that you are doing a good thing. I want to continue the campaign, to cook for families with many children and those in need, and to help those who really need it," the convict shared.
    - The administration of the institution pays special attention to initiatives aimed at the re-socialization of convicts. When the convict told about his desire to help large families, the administration of the institution supported his initiative and helped organize an action. Such projects show that a person can use the acquired skills for the benefit of society. This helps convicts feel responsible, benefit people, and foster a desire for a law-abiding lifestyle. The "Lunch with Care" campaign will continue. Such initiatives help families who find themselves in a difficult life situation, and also contribute to the social adaptation of convicts, forming in them a sense of responsibility and a desire to benefit society," said Zarina Karmenova, Senior Inspector for Domestic and Labor Organization of convicts.
