Ahead of Republic Day, a new patrol post was opened in Astana on the instructions of Lieutenant General Ansagan Baltabekov, Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard. The new facilities are designed to improve conditions for conscripts carrying out service and combat duties, as well as provide them with suitable places to rest.

The new posts will allow Guardsmen to rest comfortably after duty and prepare for their next shift regardless of weather conditions. The facilities provide the necessary conditions for recovery and maintaining combat readiness. Each post accommodates 24 servicemen working in three shifts.

The posts are equipped with a dining area, a dedicated space for leisure activities, and rooms for washing and resting.

In the capital, National Guard servicemen protect facilities of national importance and contribute to maintaining public safety and stability.

Over the first nine months of this year, National Guard servicemen carried out more than 2,300 public order protection tasks. During patrol duty, they escorted more than 13,000 offenders to internal affairs bodies, including 300 people detained on suspicion of committing crimes.

In addition, the law and order troops ensured security at five international political events, as well as during 18 visits by foreign heads of state and official delegations.

Efforts to improve servicemen’s living conditions are ongoing. The new patrol posts will provide personnel with comfortable facilities for rest and preparation for duty, helping maintain readiness to carry out assigned public order protection tasks and ensure the safety of citizens.
