Since the beginning of this year, training in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operation has been incorporated into the combat training programme of Kazakhstan’s law enforcement troops. This enables cadets of the National Guard Academy to master modern technologies and acquire skills essential for carrying out service and combat missions.
It is worth noting that UAV operator training has also been included in the combat training programme for National Guard conscripts since the beginning of the year. This allows soldiers to learn how to operate drones during their military service.
UAV operator training is also предусмотрено by Kazakhstan’s new military reform plan. Cadets of the Academy are already applying their knowledge in practice, including at FPV drone piloting competitions.
For example, at an FPV drone piloting competition in Astana involving 14 teams from law enforcement agencies, National Guard Academy cadet Ismail Musin took first place in the “Grenade Drop from an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle” event.
“Operating drones requires attentiveness, precision and constant practice. These training sessions provide us with valuable skills that will be useful in our future service. After graduating from the Academy, I plan to apply this knowledge when working with personnel, train my subordinates to operate UAVs and pass on my experience,” said Cadet Musin.
Mastering modern technologies during training helps future officers prepare for the evolving demands of military service and apply their skills in National Guard units.
