Abai Ainur Iskakova, a military police officer in the region, is a woman in uniform with a big heart

In the women's penal colony in the Abai region, supervision of convicted women is carried out by more than 40 employees aged 18 to 48 years. They ensure compliance with the detention regime, monitor the behavior of convicts and participate in educational and preventive work. Service requires high responsibility, endurance and professionalism. Thanks to their work, the institution maintains a stable operational environment and creates conditions for the correction and social adaptation of convicted women.
Many female employees joined the service immediately after completing secondary education. Having started their professional career as supervisors, they acquired the necessary knowledge and practical experience, gradually moving up the career ladder and occupying senior positions.
A striking example of such professional growth is the head of the department of educational and socio-psychological work among convicted women of the DUIS in the Abai region, Captain of Justice Ainur Asylkhanovna Iskakova.
Ainur Asylkhanovna began her service in the Criminal Justice System in 2005 as a supervisor of the Supervisory Service Department. She worked in this position for about 13 years, having established herself as a responsible and disciplined employee. In 2018, she was appointed deputy assistant on duty to the head of the institution, and in 2021 she became the head of the department of educational and socio-psychological work among convicts. Thanks to her accumulated experience, professionalism and organizational skills, she was appointed head of the same department in 2026.
Over the years of service, Ainur Asylkhanovna has made a significant contribution to the organization of educational work with convicted women. Under her leadership, a set of measures is being carried out aimed at shaping law-abiding behavior, developing social skills and preparing convicts for life after release.
Colleagues note her responsiveness, integrity and sincere interest in the fate of people. Ainur Asylkhanovna always strives to help convicts embark on the path of correction, keep in touch with their relatives and friends, as well as solve emerging social issues. In her opinion, the effectiveness of educational work largely depends on the ability to listen to a person, support them and help them maintain socially useful ties with their family. This approach contributes to the successful correction and further social adaptation of convicts.
An illustrative example of Ainur Iskakova's work was the situation when, with her assistance, the sister of one of the convicts was able to take custody of her 12-year-old daughter. Thanks to the timely assistance provided, the child was not sent to a children's institution and remained brought up with relatives. This case proved that the employee's caring and professional approach help maintain family ties even in difficult life circumstances.
As a sign of appreciation for the attention, support and fair treatment, on the eve of the celebration of the Day of the Kazakh Police, the convicts presented Ainur Asylkhanovna with an unusual gift — a portrait made with their own hands. This gift became a symbol of respect and gratitude for her many years of hard work, humanity and contribution to the process of convict correction.
Today, Ainur Iskakova is an example of dedication to her chosen cause, professional growth and service to people. Her life path proves that conscientious work, responsibility and a sincere desire to help can change people's destinies for the better.
