Aliyev Zhomart

Zhomart Aliyev was born in 1969 in the Akmola region.

He graduated from the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute named after V.I. Lenin and Kokshetau University named after A. Myrzakhmetov.

• 1985: Began his career as a mechanizer at the Krasnoyarsk state farm in the Kokshetau region
• 1993-1999: Foreman and Master of the crushed stone production section at the open-pit mine of Vasilkovsky GOK
• 1999-2002: Head Specialist of the Metals and Hydrocarbon Raw Materials Departments, Committee of Geology and Subsoil Protection, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection
• 2002-2005: Head of the Pavlodar Regional Inspectorate for Subsoil Protection and Utilization, Centerkaznedra Territorial Administration
• 2005-2010: Held various positions within the Ministry of Environmental Protection
• 2010-2012: Expert and Chief Expert, State Inspection and Permit Issuance Department, Committee for State Inspection of the Oil and Gas Complex, Ministry of Oil and Gas
• 2012-2014: Deputy Chairman, Committee for Environmental Regulation and Control, Ministry of Environmental Protection
• 2014-2017: Held senior positions in the Ministry of Energy
• 2017-2022: Worked with JSC “Institute for Development of Electricity and Energy Saving (Kazakhenergoekspertiza)” on the project “Increasing Energy Efficiency in Kazakhstan”
• 2023: Advisor to the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources

2023-2024: Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Regulation and Control
