    Biography

    Nurlan Kurmalaev was born in 1988 in Almaty.

    He graduated from T. Ryskulov Kazakh Economic University and Oxford Brookes University. He is a member of the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve.

    • 2010: Began his career as a manager in a private company
    • Worked in senior positions in various commercial companies
    • 2015-2017: Deputy and Advisor to the Chairman of the Board at Astana Innovations JSC
    • 2018-2019: Manager for digitalization at Samruk Kazyna
    • 2019-2021: Held senior positions within the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development
    • July 2021 - December 2022: Vice-Chairman of the Board at National Information Technologies JSC
    • Currently serves as Vice-Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources
