Vice-Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Biography
Nurken Sharbiev was born in 1976 in the North Kazakhstan region.
He graduated from Akmola Agrarian University named after S. Seyfullin and the Kazakh Humanitarian-Legal Innovation University.
- 1998: Began his career as a chief economist at a peasant farm
- 2000-2002: Served as a leading and chief specialist in the Department of Agriculture, Department of Strategy and State Regulation, and Department of Indicative Planning and Economic Analysis at the Ministry of Agriculture
- 2002-2011: Held senior positions in the Ministry of Agriculture
- 2011-2012: Director of the Strategic Planning Department, Ministry of Industry and New Technologies
- 2012-2013: Deputy Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Policy at the Eurasian Economic Commission in Moscow
- 2013-2014: Managing Director at JSC “National Management Holding KazAgro”
- 2014-2017: Worked in a private organization
- 2017-2018: Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of KazAgroFinance JSC
- 2018-2020: Chairman of the Management Board of JSC SPK Taraz
- 2020-2022: Managing Director and Director of the Department of NPP Atameken
- June 2022 to January 2023: Head of the Secretariat of the Project Office “Auyl Amanaty” of the “AMANAT” party
- Currently serves as Vice-Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan
