
Isakov Almas Serikovich
Chief of Staff of the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Biography
Almas Isakov was born on May 25, 1985.
He graduated from the T. Ryskulov Kazakh University of Economics and the University of Exeter in the UK (University of Exeter), a scholarship holder of the Presidential Bolashak Program.
He started his career in 2009 as an acting specialist of the Department of Customs Control in the city of Astana.
In 2010 - 2012 he worked as the chief specialist of the Tax Department in Almaty.
In the period from 2012 to 2014, he held the positions of expert and chief expert in the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Development and Budget Planning of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2015 to 2019, he worked as Head of the Tax Policy Department of the Department of Tax and Customs Policy, and then Deputy Director of the Department of State Support of Entrepreneurship in the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2019, he held the positions of Head of the Operational Analytics Sector of the Information and Analytical Center and Chief Inspector of the Project Management Center of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2019 - 2021 – Director of the Strategy Department of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From February 2021 to January 2023, he worked as the head of the Financial markets Sector of the Socio-Economic Monitoring Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Since January 11, 2023, he has been appointed Head of the Staff of the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
