Biography
Zharkyn Kuanyshevich Kussainov was born in Almaty on July 27, 1976. He graduated from the Kazakh State Law University with a degree in Law.
He holds the rank of Senior Justice Adviser.
He was awarded a “Zhauyngerlik erligi ushin” medal (For Military Heroism).
He began his service in 1993 within the Chief Military Prosecutor’s Office system. He served successively as the Assistant, Senior Assistant of the Military Prosecutor of the Almaty Garrison for Legal Statistics and Information of the Chief Military Prosecutor’s Office, Military Prosecutor, Senior Military Prosecutor of the Division and Department of the Chief Military Prosecutor’s Office.
From 2001 to 2010, he worked as a Senior Prosecutor of the Department, Deputy Head of the Department of the Almaty city Prosecutor’s Office, Senior Assistant of Prosecutor of Almaty city, and Deputy Prosecutor of the Medeu and Auezov districts of Almaty city.
From 2010 to 2011, he held the positions of the Senior Prosecutor of the Department and Head of the Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2011 to 2018, he served as the Head of the Department of the Prosecutor’s Office in Almaty сity and Prosecutor of the Medeu district of Almaty city.
From 2018 to 2020, he served as the Deputy Prosecutor and then as the Prosecutor of the Zhambyl Region.
From 2020 to 2023, he served as the First Deputy Prosecutor of the Pavlodar Region and Astana city.
On February 23, 2023, he was appointed the Head of the Internal Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
