The Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in accordance with subparagraph 2-2) of Article 4 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan"On Commodity Exchanges," has developed a draft order of the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amendments and Additions to the Order of the Acting Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 27, 2026 No. 148-OD "On Approval of the List of Exchange Commodities."
The specified draft has been developed for the purpose of introducing an addition to the List of Exchange Commodities, providing for its supplementation with petrochemical products – polypropylene, as well as introducing amendments regarding the minimum share of sugar subject to mandatory sale through commodity exchanges and the categories of entities to which the specified obligation applies.
Main Objective: The adoption of the draft is aimed at improving the efficiency of the exchange market functioning and creating conditions for fair and transparent price formation.
The Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan has published the draft order of the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amendments and Additions to the Order of the Acting Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 27, 2026 No. 148-OD "On Approval of the List of Exchange Commodities," and from _________ 2026 to ________ 2026, a public discussion of this draft will be held on the Open Regulatory Legal Acts portal.
