The international Future Games 2026 are continuing in Astana. To ensure the safety of participants and guests from around the world, servicemen of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan are performing their duties under an enhanced security regime.
National Guard units are maintaining public order and security around competition venues, accommodation facilities for athletes and official delegations, public areas with large crowds, as well as major transportation hubs and strategically important sites across the capital.
Servicemen from military units based in Astana, Kokshetau, Karaganda, and Temirtau have been deployed to carry out these tasks. In total, more than 1,600 National Guard personnel are involved in maintaining law and order during the event.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Ansagan Baltabekov, presented awards to National Guard servicemen for their dedicated service during the Future Games.
The Commander-in-Chief noted that throughout the international competition, the servicemen have demonstrated a high level of discipline, vigilance, and unwavering loyalty to their military oath. He also emphasized that many of those entrusted with these important responsibilities are young servicemen who only recently began their military service. According to him, participating in the security operation for an event of this international scale provides them with valuable professional experience.
Lieutenant General Baltabekov also stressed that the awards recognize not only the high quality of their work but also their commitment to military duty and exemplary service.
The responsibility of the National Guard does not end here. The Future Games 2026 will continue until 9 August, and National Guard servicemen will remain on duty throughout the event, ensuring public safety and maintaining law and order.
