Preparation for the Referendum: The Essence and Significance of the New Constitution
Chairman of the Almaty Regional Maslikhat Kuat Baigodzhayev met with employees of BTK Group, located in the village of Zhapek Batyr, Ili District.
Around one hundred employees of the company took part in the meeting. The enterprise has been operating in the construction sector since 1991 and currently specializes in the production of fired bricks and autoclaved aerated concrete blocks.
During the meeting with the company’s team, the participants discussed the national referendum scheduled for March 15 on the draft of the new Constitution of Kazakhstan.
As part of the information and awareness-raising meeting, the Chairman of the Maslikhat explained the essence of the proposed amendments submitted for nationwide voting, spoke about the socio-political significance of the referendum, the procedure for participation, and the legal responsibility of citizens.
During the meeting, employees asked questions regarding the voting procedure and the organization of the referendum, and exchanged their opinions. The meeting was held in an open format, providing participants with an opportunity to freely express their views.
