Senator Zh. Zhorgenbayev visited industrial enterprises in the Karasai and Zhambyl districts of the Almaty Region
During a working visit to the Almaty Region, Senator of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhanbolat Zhorgenbayev reviewed the activities of industrial enterprises in the Karasai and Zhambyl districts. The main purpose of the visit was to study the current state of regional industry, as well as discuss pressing issues and development prospects with representatives of enterprise teams.
The senator was accompanied by Deputy Akim of the Almaty Region Rustam Issatayev and Chairman of the Almaty Regional Maslikhat Kuat Baigodzhayev.
The working program began with a visit to the Neo Milk plant in the village of Zhibek Zholy, Karasai District, which specializes in the deep processing of goat, mare’s, and camel milk. Enterprise founder Bolat Amanbayev noted that the company had progressed from importing biologically active supplements to establishing a modern high-tech production facility. The plant is equipped with European machinery and can produce up to 50 tons of products per day, with the possibility of further increasing capacity. Total investments amounted to 4.5 billion tenge. The product range includes baby food, dietary products, and various types of cheese. Particular attention is paid to the revival and promotion of traditional national beverages — saumal and shubat — with plans to export them to China and Russia.
The delegation then visited the Kelun-Kazpharm pharmaceutical plant in the village of Kokozek. The joint Kazakh-Chinese enterprise, established with the participation of the Kelun corporation, is one of the leading pharmaceutical manufacturers in the country. According to Executive Director Merey Slamuly, the plant was commissioned in 2014, and the volume of investments exceeded 60 million US dollars. The production facilities, located on an area of five hectares, allow the annual production of more than 150 types of essential medicines, including infusion and injectable solutions for oncology treatment. The enterprise also actively cooperates with specialized educational institutions, providing students with opportunities for practical training.
The final destination of the visit was Plast Invest Production in the village of Ungirtas, Zhambyl District. The company, operating since 2008, specializes in the production of polyethylene pipes and fittings using modern German equipment. The service life of the products reaches 50 years, making them in demand for water supply, gas supply, and sewerage projects throughout the country. The plant operates its own quality control laboratory.
During meetings with employees of the enterprises, issues related to modernization, expansion of production facilities, and improving efficiency were discussed.
Summarizing the results of the visit, Zhanbolat Zhorgenbayev emphasized that the priorities remain the development of domestic production, improvement of technological processes, and the creation of effective mechanisms for state support of business. According to the senator, enterprises in the fields of processing, pharmaceuticals, and construction materials play an important role in the economic development of the region, create jobs, and increase the competitiveness of Kazakh products both in domestic and international markets. He assured that all issues raised during the visit would be carefully considered, including through deputy inquiries to relevant government bodies.
