A joint meeting of the standing commissions on housing and communal services, construction and architecture, transport and logistics infrastructure development; healthcare, education, social protection, culture and sports; and industrial and innovative development, transport and logistics infrastructure, support for small and medium-sized businesses, tourism and sports was held.
During the meeting, the following issues were included on the agenda and comprehensively reviewed:
- results of control and supervision over the construction of infrastructure facilities being built in the Almaty Region;
- approval of the proposed location for the construction of the second nuclear power plant in the Zhambyl District of the Almaty Region;
- reports on the results of annual activities and work plans for 2026 of the departments of healthcare, education, physical culture and sports, culture, archives and documentation, energy and water supply, architecture and urban planning, construction, housing and communal services and improvement, passenger transport and highways, as well as the Almaty Regional Branch of JSC “NC “ҚазАвтоЖол”;
- results of the activities of the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of the Almaty Region;
- activities of regional libraries and museums;
- work of school psychologists on preventing bullying among children;
- activities of the Almaty Region Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken” aimed at improving the region’s business and investment climate and creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurship development
