A joint meeting of the Standing Committees of the Almaty Regional Maslikhat was held on issues of housing and communal services, construction and architecture, development of transport and logistics infrastructure, as well as industrial and innovative development, support for small and medium-sized businesses, and tourism.
The agenda included the following important issues:
- Development of social and engineering infrastructure in rural settlements within the framework of the “Auyl – El Besigi” (“Village – the Cradle of the Nation”) project;
- Implementation of the Almaty agglomeration development plan;
- Monitoring road safety, compliance with the rules for installation and maintenance of road signs and markings;
- Modernization and construction of infrastructure facilities, water supply systems, wastewater treatment and sewage facilities within the framework of public-private partnership projects;
- Approval of rules for the evacuation of vehicles and their storage at specialized parking lots;
- Determination of the list of socially significant routes;
- Activities of the “Damu” Fund aimed at developing entrepreneurship in the region.
During the joint meeting, current issues of the region’s socio-economic development were discussed.
