On 2 November 2026, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Spain, Danat Mussayev, held a briefing in Madrid for representatives of the Spanish media. The meeting focused on political reforms in Kazakhstan in light of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s State of the Nation Address of 28 October 2026.
The briefing brought together representatives of leading Spanish media outlets, including La Razón, COPE and TVE, among others.
The Ambassador outlined the key points of the Address, with particular emphasis on the priorities of political modernisation and the country’s further development. Discussions focused on the significance of the ongoing reforms and the objectives set by the Head of State for Kazakhstan’s new stage of development.
During an open exchange of views, participants discussed Kazakhstan’s political reforms aimed at further modernising the state and strengthening democratic institutions, as well as how these reforms are perceived in Spain. The participants highlighted the importance of the reforms and the need for objective coverage in the Spanish media.
