On October 28, 2026, the East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Development of Education «Örken» held a regional seminar titled «Development of Creative Abilities through the Application of Project-Based Learning Methods in Art and Craft Lessons» in order to disseminate the experience of art and craft teachers of the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk.
The seminar was attended by art and craft teachers of the region and methodologists of education departments.
Before the seminar, an exhibition of creative handicraft works by art and craft teachers and students of Ust-Kamenogorsk was organized; participants also visited the modern, well-equipped art and craft classrooms of the SSE «Secondary Comprehensive School No. 40», where students demonstrated their practical work.
During the event, teachers conducted master classes, presented practical and project works, and shared their professional experience on the following topics: «Development of case assignments for forming students' project skills in the field of design»; «Dry wool printing»; «The art of batik. Performing knotted batik»; «Psychological tricks: 5 minutes for yourself»; «Creative workshop: the secrets of drawing from teacher to teacher»; «Ethno hairpins in Kazakh style».
The participants highly appreciated the work of the seminar and left positive feedback.
