Paris, 27 October 2026 – A Kazakh delegation led by representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan paid a working visit to France. The delegation also included representatives of Samruk-Kazyna JSC and relevant industry organisations.
At a round table held at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in France, the delegation presented the long-term development strategy for Kazakhstan’s oil and gas, refining and petrochemical industries, as well as the sector’s investment potential. Participants were also briefed on plans to shift from a raw-materials-based model to deep hydrocarbon processing, produce high value-added chemical and petrochemical products, introduce modern environmental standards and develop export and transport-logistics routes between Asia and Europe.
The event brought together representatives of leading French companies and industry organisations. The parties exchanged views and discussed prospects for cooperation.
During the visit, the Kazakh delegation gained a closer insight into the operations of several French companies and studied their experience in implementing projects based on advanced technological solutions.
Following the visit, the parties expressed their interest in further developing industrial, scientific, technical and investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and France in the energy sector.
