A specialised shopping centre, MEGAPOLIS, has opened in Astana under the Business Roadmap programme. The centre focuses on the sale of construction and finishing materials, as well as products for home renovation and improvement. The project was implemented as part of efforts to modernise the capital’s informal markets and create modern conditions for business activities.
The project aims to develop modern retail infrastructure, support small and medium-sized businesses, and provide comfortable conditions for both entrepreneurs and shoppers.
The four-storey shopping centre has a total area of 20,000 square metres and features 231 retail units ranging in size from 36 to 120 square metres. Currently, more than 85% of the retail space is occupied, with over 160 entrepreneurs operating at the centre.
The shopping centre provides the necessary facilities for business operations. The building is equipped with passenger and freight elevators, escalators, ventilation systems, and 24-hour video surveillance and security. Separate loading and unloading areas have also been designated for the convenience of businesses.
Particular attention has been paid to the development of warehouse infrastructure. The current warehouse area covers 10,000 square metres, with plans to expand it to 15,000–17,000 square metres. In addition, 80 storage containers are located on the premises.
The shopping centre is situated near the intersection of Kumisbekov Avenue and Bogenbai Batyr Avenue, providing convenient transport access for residents of both the right and left banks of the capital.
The project contributes to the development of organised retail, the modernisation of commercial infrastructure, and the creation of additional opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises.
