
Bucharest, October 5, 2026 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Romania Amangeldy Sainov held a meeting with Christian-Augustin Niculescu-Tâgârlaș, Senator of the Romanian Parliament and Head of the Kazakhstan–Romania Parliamentary Friendship Group.
The parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects of Kazakhstan–Romania relations, emphasizing the importance of further developing interparliamentary dialogue and maintaining regular contacts between the legislative bodies of the two countries.
Particular attention was paid to the development of transport and logistics cooperation, including expanding the role of Kazakhstan and Romania within the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor), as well as creating new opportunities for trade and business contacts.
The interlocutors noted significant potential for enhancing bilateral cooperation and agreed to continue engagement through the Parliamentary Friendship Group, relevant parliamentary committees, and government agencies. In practical terms, the parties discussed preparations for further meetings and contacts aimed at promoting concrete joint initiatives in the political, economic, and transport sectors.
