Asked to assist in the vicinity of the Hajj?
The Committee on Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Public Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports the following regarding the organization of the Hajj.
Performing the Hajj is an exclusively religious event, as it belongs to one of the five duties in Islam.
At the same time, according to paragraph 1 of Article 3 of the Law "On Religious Activities and Religious Associations", the State is separated from religion and religious associations.
In this regard, the organization of the Hajj is carried out directly by the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Kazakhstan (hereinafter-DUMK). The CDR and a number of other state bodies, within their competence, assist the DUMK in solving certain organizational issues within the framework of ensuring the safety of our citizens.
Given the above, we consider it appropriate to contact the management of the DUMK directly. At the same time, according to Sharia, the obligation to perform the Hajj applies only to those Muslims who have the appropriate, including financial capabilities.
