    Biography

    Darkhan Myrzabayev was born on 17 December 1989 in Ekibastuz, Pavlodar Region, Republic of Kazakhstan. He holds multiple higher education degrees.

    In 2011, he graduated from the Kazakh National Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev with a degree in Geology and Mineral Exploration.

    In 2013, he earned a Master of Geoscience degree from IFP School (Paris, France).

    In 2017, he graduated from the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation with a degree in Management.

    In 2021, he completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), with a concentration in Digital Business and Marketing.

    Darkhan Myrzabayev is a member of the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

    Darkhan began his professional career in 2011 as a Geophysicist-trainee at PGS Kazakhstan LLP.

    From 2012 to 2015, he worked for Schlumberger, where he progressed from Field Geophysicist Trainee to Senior Field Geophysicist.

    From 2015 to 2019, he served as a Reservoir Engineer in the Exploration and Development Department of Tarbagatay Munay LLP.

    In 2020, he worked for Amazon EU S.à r.l.

    From 2021 to 2022, he was a Senior Consultant at Ernst & Young Advisory LLP (EY).

    Darkhan Myrzabayev joined the civil service in 2022 a s Head of the Pavlodar Region Department of Digital Technologies.

    He subsequently held the positions of Manager at CSI Stat LLP, Director of the Innovation Development Department, Deputy Chairman of the Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Development Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Head of the Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation Department at the Office of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

    Since July 2026, he has served as Vice Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
