He started his career in 1978 in the state farm "Red Kazakhstan". From 1978 to 1981, he served in the Soviet Army. From 1981 to 1982, he worked in various positions at the state farm "Red Kazakhstan". From 1982 to 1988, he studied at the Semipalatinsk zootechnical and veterinary Institute, majoring in zootechnics. After completing his training in 1988, he got a job as a zootechnic worker at the Zarya communism collective farm, where he worked until 1990.
