Deputy Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Atomic Energy
Biography
Born on June 20, 1986.
Graduated from the Kazakh-American University with a degree in Law. He also completed a Master's program in Public and Local Administration at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Additionally, he studied at the IAEA Nuclear Law Institute (Austria) and earned a degree in Electric Power Engineering from A. Baitursynov Kostanay State University.
Gumar Sergazin began his professional career in 2008 as an inspector at State Institution "Public Service Center No. 2 of the Saryarka District, Astana."
From 2009 to 2011, he worked at State Institution "Public Service Center No. 1 of the Saryarka District, Astana," serving as a consultant, chief inspector, and deputy head of the operations hall.
In 2011, he worked as a lawyer (head of the legal sector) in the Legal Support Department for Corporate Business Credit Projects of the Legal Department at BTA Bank JSC in Almaty.
From 2011 to 2013, he began his public service at the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Construction and Housing and Utilities: as an expert and chief expert in the Housing Relations Division of the Housing and Utilities Department.
From 2013 to 2014, he held the position of Chief Expert of the Housing Relations Division of the Housing and Utilities Department at the Ministry of Regional Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2014, he continued his career at the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where he headed the Internal Administration Division and later the Legal Division of the Committee for State Energy Supervision and Control.
From 2014 to 2016, following the reorganization of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, he served as Head of the Legal Division of the Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2016 to 2017, he held the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technologies and Public Services at the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2017 to 2023, he served as Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Prior to his appointment as Deputy Chairman of the Atomic Energy Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he served from 2023 to 2025 as Director of the Department of Atomic Energy and Industry at the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
