Biography
Nurzhan Akhatov was born in 1978 in the Shieli district.
He obtained his Degree in Accounting and Auditing from the Kyzylorda Institute of Agro-Industrial Engineers in 1999.
In 2006, he graduated from the Kazakh Humanitarian and Law University with a degree in Jurisprudence.
In 2000, he started working as a supply specialist at the computing center for statistics in the Kyzylorda region.
From 2001 to 2008 - Chief Specialist of the Department of Organizational and Personnel Work of the Shieli District Akim's Office, Advisor to the District Akim, Head of the District Economics and Budget Planning Department, Deputy District Akim, Head of the District Entrepreneurship Department;
From 2008 to 2009 - Chief Inspector of the Organizational and Inspection Department of the Regional Akim's Office, Deputy Head of the Regional State Entrepreneurship Administration;
From 2009 to 2015 - Head of the Department of Economics and Budget Planning of the Shieli District, Head of the Shieli District Akim's Office, Head of the Kyzylorda City Akim's Office, Deputy Kyzylorda City Akim;
From 2015 to 2017 - First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Joint-Stock Company "Social and Entrepreneurial Corporation "Baikonur";
From 2017 to 2021 - Director of the LLP "Bus Park "Kyzylorda",
From 2021 to 2022 - Head of the Office of the Akim of the Syrdarya District;
From 2022 - Chairman of the Board of the Joint-Stock Company "Social and Entrepreneurial Corporation "Baikonur".
In 2022 to 2024 - Akim of the Shieli District.
Since August 2, 2024, he has been working as the mayor of Kyzylorda.
