Biography
Mamai Kazievich Akhetov was born on September 26, 1967. In 1994 he graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh State National University with a degree in philology, a teacher of the Kazakh language and literature.
In 1984, he began his career as a worker of the Kargaly state farm in Kyzylorda region. From 1986 to 1988 he served for the Soviet Army in Arkhangelsk.
From 1994 to 1999, after graduating from the university, he worked as a teacher at KazGUI.
From 1999 to 2005 he was a senior researcher at the M. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art.
From 2005 to 2007 - Deputy Director of Almaty culture department. Then in 2007 he became Deputy head of the Almaty city Internal Policy department. From 2007 to 2009, he worked as the head of the Language Development and Coordination Department.
From 2009 to 2010 - Director of the KGP "Til" of the Almaty Akimat.
From 2010 to 2017 - Acting Head/Head of the Almaty city Development of Languages of Archives and Documentation department.
Since 2017, he has been working as the Almaty Akim’s office ethics commissioner.
He was awarded the medal "Eren enbegi ushin" (2014).
