He began his career as an intern at the Taldykorgan city prosecutor’s office in 1993; in 1994, he was appointed senior investigator at the Taldykorgan city prosecutor’s office, and in 1995, he became an investigator for particularly important cases in the department for investigating premeditated murders at the Almaty city prosecutor’s office. Since 1996, he has served in various positions at the Department of the State Investigative Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the city of Almaty and at the Almaty city police department.
Since 1999, he has held successive positions in the prosecutor’s office: senior prosecutor in the department for overseeing the legality of operational investigative activities and compliance with the Minsk Convention at the Almaty City Prosecutor’s Office; deputy head of the department for overseeing the legality of preliminary investigation and inquiry at the Almaty City Prosecutor’s Office;
From 2004 to 2014, he worked in senior positions in the financial police.
In 2016–2018, he served as the head of the Department for Supervision of the Legality of Pre‑Trial Proceedings in Cases of Corruption and Economic Criminal Offences within the Department for Supervision of the Legality of the Pre‑Trial Stage of Criminal Proceedings, and as deputy head of the Criminal Prosecution Service of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
Since August 2018 — first deputy prosecutor of Astana city;
Since May 28, 2021, he has been appointed prosecutor of the Kostanay region.
From September 2025 to June 2026 — prosecutor of the Zhambyl Region;
In August 2026, he was appointed head of the department of the Committee for Legal Statistics and Special Records of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the city of Almaty.
