
Astana,21August, 2026 – Astana, 21 August 2026 – The first round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo was held.
During the consultations, Beibit Kulatayev, Director of the Third Department of Asia, emphasized the importance of further developing Kazakh-Congolese political, trade and economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.
The sides discussed bilateral and multilateral cooperation, the expansion of the legal framework, as well as the implementation of agreements reached following the state visit of President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Félix Tshisekedi to Kazakhstan in 2025.
The sides noted positive dynamics in bilateral trade, as well as the potential for further expanding trade and economic cooperation.
Following the consultations, the sides agreed to maintain regular dialogue between the foreign ministries and hold political consultations on a permanent basis.
