A significant event has taken place for the Kostanay region — a modern high-tech complex «Confectionery Capital» has been launched. The head of the region, Kumar Aksakalov, took part in the ceremonial event.
Founded in 1974, the «Bayan Sulu» enterprise has today become a renowned brand in Kazakhstan's confectionery industry.
«The launch of the «Confectionery Capital» complex – is a logical continuation of this development. The project has been implemented in accordance with the Head of State's instruction to increase the share of agricultural raw material processing to 70%», – noted the akim of the region.
The Kostanay region ranks first in the country in terms of export volume of agricultural processing products. The region accounts for 27% of the national export.
The launch of the «Confectionery Capital» complex with a capacity of 16.6 thousand tons of products per year will increase the total production capacity of the enterprise by approximately 20% – from 85 thousand to 101 thousand tons per year.
The new production facility has created 260 jobs, and the total number of company employees will reach 2,000 people. Annually, the company will pay about 500 million tenge in taxes.
