As part of the events dedicated to the 181st anniversary of the birth of the great Kazakh poet, thinker and educator Abai Kunanbayev, a painting contest on the theme "Abai - uly tulga" was held among the convicts of institution No. 28.
The main purpose of the competition was to introduce convicts to the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Kazakh people, popularize the creative heritage of Abai Kunanbayev, develop creative abilities, artistic taste and moral values.
In the presented works, the participants reflected various facets of the great thinker's personality: love for the Motherland and his people, the desire for knowledge and enlightenment, spiritual development of man, respect for work and moral values. Each painting was distinguished by the originality of the idea and the individual creative approach of the author.
The contest contributed to the spiritual and moral education of convicts, the expansion of their cultural horizons and the formation of a respectful attitude towards the historical and cultural heritage of Kazakhstan.
